Sharing The Word

We are always looking to train up new soldiers for Christ in the battle against our enemy and his forces. To this end we decided to print up 6,000 tracts to distribute for the purpose of evangelism in our region. Our efforts were rewarded with the baptism of Deidei Bakusa in Nyanya between Abuja and the Church of Christ in Keffi, Nigeria.

The staff of the Steward Bible College was determined to recruit new students as well and began a campaign to visit churches for the purpose
of obtaining new students. The staff visited a number of churches between late July and the end of September, including the churches in Lugbe, Dutse Makata, Mararaba and Kuje. I was able to address the church in Mararaba on the topic of self-reliance during a seminar on the pursuit of peace in mid-September.

After the success of our first graduation earlier this year, we presently have nine students studying at the Bible College. There are major challenges we face as we work to prepare these students for service in the LORD’s kingdom. The students are often required to travel long distances from their homes, and there is not adequate hostel accommodations here in Abuja for them. It is for this reason we hope to develop a hostel on site of the school. We also hope to build a chapel hall for use by the students and the believers worshiping together at Steward Model School. We have been blessed by the LORD’s increase and are outgrowing the present facility. We look forward to our second Bible College graduation to be held in July of 2020.
